South Park Future Heading To Video Games

CelebNTech247.com has learned that Trey Parker and Matt Stone at E3, they said that after the success of 2014 video game South Park: Stick of Truth, they were motivated to continue in the gaming market.

Parker started off by saying:

“What really surprised us, and what we really learned from The Stick of Truth, was how, for many people around the world, that was their first exposure to South Park.”

“All these young kids, going, ‘I love that video game! I think there’s a show, too?’

“It’s not something we can ignore. We’re gamers, and gaming is such a big part of SP. We could have done a movie instead of this, but we chose to do it as a game instead.”

“This” is their new game South Park: Fractured But Whole, which has a superhero theme.

Parker also suggested that the pair may do semi-serialisation on TV and concentrate on the gaming world more so in the future.

Trey adds:

“We… know that [gaming] might be the future of South Park.”

“This might be where things are going.”

Matt elaborated by saying:

“I think in 20 years, 10 years, people will be playing more. That convergence of entertainment, whether it’s VR or a more immersive thing. Maybe that is the future of the cartoon.”

It makes sense, Trey Parker and Matt Stone have decided to retire the comedy series on Comedy Central. It been on for years, so a change could be good.

South Park: Fractured But Whole will be released December 6.
